You Are Lucky I Ran Out of Bullets”: Ex-Traffic Officer’s Chilling Words Resurface in Court

The haunting words of former traffic officer Atlholanang Mosiane came rushing back to Dineo Motlodi on Monday as she faced him in court:

“You are lucky I ran out of bullets. I was here for you and your sister.”

Mosiane allegedly uttered those words shortly after gunning down Dineo’s sister, Dimpho Motlodi, firing every round from his service weapon into her body.

Horror of That Day

According to testimony, Mosiane unleashed a hail of bullets on Dimpho in cold blood. When his gun clicked empty, he turned to Dineo with the chilling threat that has continued to torment her since.

In the Dock

The former officer is facing charges of murder, attempted murder, and unlawful possession of a firearm. The courtroom was tense as the prosecution painted a grim picture of Dimpho’s final moments and the trauma endured by her sister.

Family members wept as Dineo bravely recounted how she narrowly escaped death that day, only because Mosiane had run out of ammunition.

Shock and Outrage

The case has ignited outrage in the community, with many condemning the brutal killing and linking it to South Africa’s ongoing battle against gender-based violence.

The Road Ahead

The trial has been postponed for further witness testimony and forensic submissions. Mosiane remains behind bars as proceedings continue.

For the Motlodi family, the pain is raw, but their message is clear: justice must be served.
