Cassper Nyovest Reflects on AKA and Their Shared Moments ❤️🫂

Remembering a Rival: A Musical Legacy and a Soccer Encounter

Cassper Nyovest recently opened up about his memories with the late AKA, revealing his admiration for some of Supa Mega’s biggest hits and sharing a surprising story about their time on the soccer field.

AKA’s Influence: A Competitive Musical Journey

In an interview, Cassper revealed that his favorite AKA song is “All Eyes on Me.”

“I got a lot, but All Eyes on Me will remain a favorite for me. I know the song word for word. And Sim Dope too.” – Cassper Nyovest 🐐🙌

He also admitted that his hit song “Baby Girl” was inspired by All Eyes on Me because, at the time, their rivalry was song-for-song. Cassper wanted to create a track that could compete with AKA’s massive hit, proving how their competition pushed them to greater heights.

Beyond Music: A Surprising Soccer Connection

Aside from music, Cassper and AKA also shared a love for soccer. Although they played in the same indoor league, they rarely had the chance to face each other. However, Big Zulu eventually brought them together on the same team.

Despite their past rivalry, they shared an unexpected high-five after a crucial winning goal, showing a rare moment of mutual respect between two of South Africa’s biggest hip-hop stars.

A Legacy That Lives On

Cassper acknowledged that their competitive nature kept him on his toes, but in hindsight, it pushed both of them to achieve greatness. Their music rivalry shaped South African hip-hop, leaving behind a legacy that fans will never forget.

RIP Supa Mega 🕊️💙
